I have recently signed up for a mcpd boot camp and I am really looking forward to it. I know that it will be hard work and a real challenge for me, but I am hoping that I can learn a lot and do really well. I tend to work better when I am concentrating on one thing and I think that doing this will help with that. Being away from home and studying with a group of other people who are all similarly focussed, I think will really help me to buckle down and get on with it. When I am at home I find that there are far too many distraction around to provide a good atmosphere for learning new things and at the office it is even worse with phones ringing all of the time. I had been trying to book a conference room at work and study for an hour during my lunch break. I thought that being away from my desk would mean that I would not be disturbed but unfortunately, people knew where I was and still came to ask me questions, so in the end I gave up and decided to do the mcpd bootcamp instead.
