I am having a picnic with my children today. I am really looking forward to it. They are at playgroup in the morning and I am going to collect them and then take them to a park for a picnic. They have not got big appetites so we will just have a few sandwiches and some Sun Orchard juice. At the park there are all sorts of great play things and so I will have my work cut out trying to make sure that they eat something before they run off and play. Once we have played we are going to go to the library and choose some new books. They really like books and although we have a huge selection, it is always great to be able to go and collect some new ones. Also they pick quite different books than I would pick for them and sometimes the stories are not my taste and it means that they get exposed to all sorts of new authors, books and themes which is great. When we get home we will be able to spend some quiet time reading together while they get their energy back after their long walk. I am really looking forward to a busy and fun day.
