I always find it interesting that my Dad does not believe in organ donation. He has teh view that your spirit is not ocmplete if your body is destroyed and has not only requested that he is left alone after he dies but that a certain time period is left before he is cremated so that his spirit has a chance to leave his body. I think that it is very sad that he has this attitude and has influenced my Mum to have the same one. I really like the idea of being able to help someone in some way after I die and although I hope to live until I am very old and have worn out my body, I would still like to help in any way that I can. I am actually torn as to whether to join the willed body program or donate organs. I think that perhaps it is nice to be able to live on in others and therefore organ donation is the way to do that and perhaps if anything else is useful then it can be used in the other program.
